Deus ex men in black

Slate's Dan Kois says the movie ' delivers a clear message that when individuals prejudge others based on their heritage-or when a police force cracks down on a certain kind of person based only on their own bias and fear-people get hurt and treated unfairly.'

Segregation, racial profiling, and so forth. It's almost the exact same story as Deus Ex. The fearful reaction of the populace, and the blunders of the police and the film's main protagonist, lead directly to the bad treatment of innocents at the hands of Zootopia's government. In that film, predators and prey live together in harmony, but (spoilers) a shadowy group of bad guys uses a drug to infect the predators and make them go crazy and start attacking their fellow creatures.

You'll notice that the plot is very similar to that of Disney's Zootopia. That was an excellent kids movie about the dangers of profiling 'others' and the very real risk of letting fear direct our actions toward those we see as different from ourselves.

Go back and read my brief summary of Mankind Divided and Human Revolution. Predators are unfairly treated in Zootopia.
